Alttebo Training Academy is an accredited Trade Test Centre. We offer trade tests in Panel Beating and Spray Painting, conducted in a fully operational workshop facility.

Two Routes to a Trade Test

There are two pathways to access a trade test at Alttebo Academy, depending on your background.

school

Contract Apprenticeship

For candidates on a formal artisan learning program with a contracted apprenticeship through a SETA/Company, plus a completed logbook.

You must have one of the following:

  • check_circle N2 Certificate with relevant trade theory subjects
  • check_circle SETA quality-assured technical trade theory at NQF Level 3
  • check_circle Relevant Engineering NCV at NQF Level 3
  • check_circle Relevant Engineering NCV 4 with all trade-related subjects
work_history

Artisan Recognition of Prior Learning (ARPL)

For candidates without a formal artisan program but with relevant years of work experience in the related trade.

You must have one of the following:

  • check_circle N2 Certificate + 3 years relevant experience
  • check_circle NQF Level 3 trade theory + 3 years experience
  • check_circle Engineering NCV 4 + 18 months experience
  • check_circle Technical Grade 12 (Maths, Science) + 3 years experience
  • check_circle Grade 9 + 4 years relevant experience
  • check_circle N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma + 18 months experience

Practical assessment covering damage assessment, chassis straightening, dent pulling, panel replacement, and non-structural metal finishing.
